Includes information provided by Robin S. Harris on the Agriculture diploma offered by the University of Toronto before the founding of O.A.C. in relation to B.J. Palmer who graduated in 1872; pedigree information on Joe the Banker, purebred imported Clydesdale horse; photograph (b&w, 18 x 13 cm) of illustrated scroll presented to Principal Johnston in 1879. Also includes form letter dated 1st June, 1877, addressed to the Reeve of the townships asking for the names of the leading farmers who could provide him with agricultural reports for their district. The letterhead is Ontario School of Agriculture as the name did not change to Ontario Agricultural College until the passing of the Act of Incorporation in 1880.
